Minigrants

Every year the PTO makes $20,000 worth of Mini-Grant funds available to teachers. For the 2026-27 school year, we are offering up to $25,000 in Mini-Grants! These Mini-Grants have been used to enrich our students' education and bring them to the next level of learning. 

 

Here are just some of the many Mini-Grants that have been approved in recent years:

  • Animal Assembly- CRES

  • Earth Balloon Assembly- CRPS

  • Archery Program- CDMS

  • Boston Tea Party- CDMS

  • Sensory hallway at CRPS

  • Music program: NJ Symphony Orchestra

  • Anti-Bullying programs - Be a Super Hero, and Lead-U Assembly

  • Author visits - David Adler, Annie Silvestro, and Kate Klise

  • Local Field Trips - Battle of Monmouth, Lenni Lenape, Algonquin Theatre, and Huber Woods

  • After-school clubs - Mural club, Sushi club garden, Chess club - chess sets

  • Science - Pop Quiz Assembly, Chick Hatching, Drones, Goggle Sanitizing Cabinet

  • Flexible seating for classrooms and CRPS Library

  • Shakespeare Live

  • iPods for Digital Photography

  • Expansion of the robotics program

  • Cubelets coding and robotics tools

  • District-wide Air Purifiers and Filters, Wait Until 8th Presentation

  • Mentoring with AT&T Aspire Program to encourage STEM learning in female students

  • CDMS After the Bell Program

  • Six Flags Wild Encounter Assembly

  • Communication Boards for CRES and CRPS Playground

2026-27 Mini-Grant Application Guidelines

 

  • All active PTO teacher/staff members are eligible to submit a Mini-grant request. If you are not a member yet, please click here to register.

  • Click HERE to access the Mini-Grant application, also available under the FORMS section of our website.

  • Mini-Grant applications are evaluated and approved by the PTO Mini-Grant committee in partnership with the Colts Neck administration and principals.

  • Mini-Grant applications are due by October 12th, 2026.

  • After October 12th, 2026, the Mini-Grant committee will review applications. If additional Mini-Grant funds are still available for the 2026/27 school year, the committee will reopen the application process in January 2027.
