volunteer training required for all school volunteers

 

The Colts Neck School District requires that all parents who volunteer in the schools complete an online Volunteer Training session. This is not a PTO policy, and the training applies to ALL who volunteer in the schools--those who are PTO members and those who are not. Non-members who wish to chaperone trips, volunteer for archery, or for other school-run projects will also be required to complete the online training.

 

All PTO members who wish to volunteer on committees that involve an in-school presence will be required to complete the Volunteer Training session. You can access this online training by clicking on the PARENTS tab on the district's website: www.coltsneckschools.org.

All inquiries about the training should be directed to the Superintendent's Office.

ART EXHIBIT CRES

Volunteers assist the Art teacher to prepare for the school’s Art Exhibit in the spring. They also help coordinate snacks and drinks for the evening. To volunteer, please contact Erika Hellstrom at erika959@gmail.com.

 

ART EXHIBIT CRPS

Volunteers assist the Art teacher to prepare for the school’s Art Exhibit, matting and hanging children's artwork and organizing snacks and drinks for the evening. Art Exhibit is in the spring. Work begins in March/April. To volunteer, please contact Jenn Winkelmann at jlwinkelmann12@yahoo.com.

BOOK FAIR CRES & CRPS

Volunteers help plan and implement our book fair, usually held late November to early December. To volunteer, please contact Marci Klein at klein.marci@gmail.com.

 

BOOK SWAP CRPS

Volunteers help organize our annual book swap. Families send in gently used books they no longer need, and students get to take them home to add to their own libraries. To volunteer for CRPS, please contact Kim Kaufman at kim@kaufmanmail.com.

 

BOXTOP$ REDEMPTION

Volunteers help with this fundraising activity by counting and organizing the Box Top$ that are collected in all schools.  Box Top$ are then submitted to the company for credit to our schools. To volunteer, please contact Evonne at evonne.murphy@gmail.com.

 

FALL PARENT SOCIAL

This fun evening is a great way to meet other parents in the district. Volunteers help with ideas, decorating, and setting up the venue. No event has been planned for the 2019/20 school year. For more information, please contact president@coltsneckpto.org.

 

FAMILY BINGO NIGHT

Volunteers help organize this family evening of bingo and prizes! This event typically runs in the winter or spring. To volunteer, please contact Melanie at melaniekemp@gmail.com​.

5K COLOR RUN

Volunteers help organize this fundraiser. The 5K is held every 2-4 years, in the spring. This event will not run during the 2019/20 school year. For more information, contact president@coltsneckpto.org.

FLOWER SALE CRES & CRPS

Volunteers help with our annual flower sale. Volunteers will assist students in choosing plants to bring home for Mother's Day. This event takes place in May. To volunteer contact Danielle Quigley at quigleyhouse@yahoo.com.

 

FROSTY'S HOLIDAY SHOPPE FOR KIDS

Frosty's enables our children to purchase holiday gift items at a nominal cost. Volunteers organize and run this annual tradition. To volunteer, please contact Kirsten at kiaconnor@gmail.com.

GOLF OUTING

Looking for chairs and volunteers to organize this possible future event to get more dads participating! Ideas are welcome to turn this into a great new PTO fundraiser.  To volunteer or contribute ideas, please contact Amy Dimes at dimes.amy@gmail.com. 

HARLEM WIZARDS

Volunteers help organize this fundraiser, where our teachers and staff battle on the court against the Harlem Wizards. This event is usually held every 2-4 years, in the winter. It will not run during the 2019/20 school year. For more information, contact president@coltsneckpto.org.

JOG-A-THON

Volunteers help organize this in-school fundraiser, where students are challenged to jog through a variety of stations.  Families and friends sponsor their participation.  For more information or to volunteer, contact Justine at justinept@gmail.com.

KIDSTUFF BOOKS

Volunteers assist in distributing books to CRPS and CRES classes, collect payments and returned books, and send unused books back to the company.   If you are interested in running this fundraiser, please contact Kirsten at kiaconnor@gmail.com.

KITCHEN TOUR 

Volunteers help organize this fun and tasty fundraiser. This massive event is usually held every two to four years, in the spring. Currently, we need chairs to start the process of getting homes listed on a future tour.  Volunteers are needed to contribute ideas to this big event! NOTECARDS

Volunteers assist in collecting orders and money and distributing notecards to students for this possible fundraiser. For more information or to run this event, please contact fundraising@coltsneckpto.org.

 

PRIMARY SCHOOL TOURS

Volunteers assist at Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration in February by giving tours of the Primary School. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Megan Mastropiero at smmastropiero@gmail.com.

SAVER CARDS

SCHOOL STORE CRES

STUDENT ACTIVITIES – GRADES PRE-K THRU 7TH

Dances, movie nights, iPlay, moving up parties... If there’s a special activity for grades Pre-K–7, you can be sure the PTO is sponsoring it. Each grade level has a committee comprised of one or two chairs and several committee members. SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY

8TH GRADE DANCE
